2024 Volkswagen Golf GTI arrives with Harman Kardon audio, HUD and 245PS, starting from RM252K

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has introduced an enhanced version of the latest Golf GTI, now equipped with luxurious features such as a Harman Kardon audio system and a state-of-the-art Head-up Display, enriching the overall driving experience. 

The Golf GTI, long celebrated in the hot hatch market for its robust performance and dynamic drive, comes with appealing aesthetic elements, including a striking honeycomb pattern on the front grille, signature red accents unique to the GTI line, dynamic 18-inch Richmond alloy wheels, and red brake callipers, alongside comprehensive LED lighting at the front and rear. 

Inside, drivers are treated to an immersive auditory experience with a 480-watt Harman Kardon sound system, encompassing 10 speakers, and a Head-up Display that seamlessly integrates crucial driving data such as speed, navigational guidance, and safety alerts directly into the driver's line of sight.

Mechanically, the Golf GTI is equipped with a potent 2.0TSI turbocharged engine, capable of producing 245 PS and a torque of 370 Nm, coupled with a responsive 7-speed wet-clutch DSG transmission. 

Its safety suite is comprehensive, featuring Travel Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Side Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, and Adaptive Lane Guidance. 

Priced at RM 252,990, the new Golf GTI comes with a generous package including a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance, and free maintenance services for five years.

In a move to showcase its latest offerings, VPCM has kickstarted the year with its inaugural Volkswagen roadshow in Pulau Pinang, taking place from January 4th to 7th, 2024, at the Queensbay Mall. 

The event will spotlight a range of Volkswagen models including the refreshed Golf GTI, the elegant Arteon R-Line, the powerful Golf R, and the versatile Tiguan Allspace R-Line. Interested individuals can experience these vehicles first-hand through test drives available during the roadshow, with arrangements for bookings and test drives accessible at Volkswagen's authorised dealerships across the nation.
