7 colours for each day of the week for the 911 Carrera GTS

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Porsche 911 Carrera GTS will be made available in seven striking colour options. Where? & Why?

Well, called the 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition, the highly-collectable model will be delivered by the brand’s bespoke team, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Thailand. Produced in limited quantities, the bespoke model celebrates the automaker’s three decades in the Thai market.

Each unit of the bespoke 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years edition can be specified in one of the iconic Paint of Sample (PTS) tones which in turn represent the colour of the weekdays in Thai culture. Here is the list of colours for the limited-run 911 Carrera GTS.

As per the automaker, proper finish and accuracy of the PTS colours are achieved by manual labour.

Other striking features of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition include -

• Turbo S centre lock wheels in bespoke two-tone combo available in 20-inch front & 21-inch rear
• Brake callipers in a nondescript black tone
• Red or yellow callipers (denoting steel or carbon ceramic rotor options)
• Cabin & other trim materials finished in a glossy hue

No changes are made on the powertrain front, meaning the limited-edition model is also powered by the tried & tested 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-6 mill making a maximum power of 385 PS along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. The drive is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The above-mentioned configuration allows the car to complete the century sprint in just 4.2 seconds.
