All-new Lexus LX arrives in Malaysia with 3 seating layouts and hybrid engine

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new Lexus LX has made its way to Malaysia as the brand’s flagship luxury SUV and most capable off-roader. Built on the same roots as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, the Lexus LX is designed for affluent families, business owners and customers who want genuine off-road capability without compromising quality.

Lexus Malaysia offers the LX in three variants, priced as follows -

2026 Lexus LX: Engine and performance 

All the variants of Lexus’s flagship SUV are powered by a hybrid drivetrain that comprises a 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 engine and a traction motor. The engine produces a maximum power of 415 hp and a peak torque of 650 Nm, while the motor contributes 49 hp and 250 Nm. The setup delivers a combined system output of 464 hp. 

Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox, allowing the SUV to hit the century sprint in 6.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 210 kmph. Available drive modes are - Normal, Eco, Comfort, Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom.

Featuring a rugged body-in-frame construction, the upgraded Lexus LX can handle different types of terrains with ease, thanks to the Multi-Terrain Select system, electric power steering, revised suspension geometry with updated dampers, and an improved Active Height Control system. 

2026 Lexus LX: Dimensions and design 

Built on the GA-F platform, the new Lexus LX measures 5,100 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,895 mm in height, and spans a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. 

In terms of design, the SUV boasts a ‘Dignified Sophistication’ philosophy that combines rugged SUV proportions with premium styling. The new LX has a commanding road presence with a floating spindle front grille, dominating the front end and creating a strong visual identity.

While retaining classic body-on-frame SUV proportions, the new Lexus LX features a tall stance, a long bonnet, muscular wheel arches and a strong shoulder running across the body. It comes equipped with sharp L-shaped front lighting units and a full-width rear lighting signature that emphasises its premium stance. 

Inside, the SUV adopts Lexus' Tazuna cockpit philosophy, with a clean horizontal dashboard layout, larger displays, and premium leather upholstery. Depending on the variant, the seating capacity varies -
