KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the Lexus RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” special edition?
A limited-run style special edition of the RZ BEV that adds more aero-focused parts, higher output, and upgraded braking hardware on top of the RZ 550e “F SPORT” base. How much power does it make and how quick is it?
Lexus lists 313 kW (425.5 PS) system output and 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The RZ is Lexus’s first BEV-dedicated model, and the brand continues to frame it as a key part of its push into electrification. Lexus recaps the RZ’s timeline as starting with the AWD RZ 450e in March 2023, followed by the FWD RZ 300e, which was positioned as the range-focused version through weight reduction.

In January 2024, Lexus also introduced a performance-flavoured RZ 450e “F SPORT Performance,” limited to 100 units, and said that model was developed with input from air race pilot Yoshihide Muroya and racing driver Masahiro Sasaki, with a focus on aero and driving feel.
This new RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” special edition sits further up that same ladder. Lexus says it is based on the RZ 550e “F SPORT,” which features a comprehensively renewed BEV system, then builds on it with more aero work, more output, and stronger braking hardware to match.
Photo from LexusOn the chassis and aero side, Lexus says the car is 20 mm lower than the base RZ 550e “F SPORT,” a move meant to reduce aerodynamic drag and improve stability at speed. It also gets a long list of special-edition carbon parts to generate downforce and sharpen the look, including a carbon roof, carbon wing (roof and rear), carbon spoiler elements, and carbon turning vanes at the front and rear.
Power is up too. Lexus says it reassessed battery output limits and the system now produces a maximum of 313 kW (425.5 PS), with the headline sprint of 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
Each axle uses a motor rated at 167 kW (227 PS) and 268 Nm, giving it AWD, and Lexus pairs the output increase with larger braking hardware, including 20-inch brake rotors and front opposed six-piston aluminium monoblock blue brake calipers carrying Lexus branding.
Photo from LexusTech-wise, Lexus is also leaning into its newer driving interfaces. A unique steering wheel designed specifically for Steer-by-Wire is fitted here, and it is paired with Interactive Manual Drive, both intended to add a more “engaging” feel whether you’re in town or on twistier roads.
Visually, the special edition is offered in two two-tone exterior themes. One is Black and HAKUGIN II with a matte clear finish, the other is Black and Neutrino Gray, as featured on the RZ 550e “F SPORT.” Lexus says the contrasting black body and blue accenting are meant to reinforce the car’s sportier character.
Inside, Lexus says the RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” uses front seats made with an integrated foam moulding process, designed to provide stronger support during sporty driving while still staying comfortable enough for everyday use.
The cabin theme is black with blue stitching, with Ultrasuede sport seats and Ultrasuede trim also listed as part of the package.
Photo from LexusLexus also included background on the two collaborators it references in the RZ performance story. Yoshihide Muroya is described as the representative of LEXUS PATHFINDER AIR RACING and the first Asian pilot to win the overall Red Bull Air Race World Championship (2017), while Masahiro Sasaki is a professional racer active in Super Taikyu since 2007 and a Nürburgring 24 Hours competitor (2019) with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, with Lexus saying he has been involved in refining the RZ’s driving character since early development.
In terms of the main published figures, Lexus lists a 76.96 kWh battery, a 525 km cruising range on the WLTC cycle, and 159 Wh/km energy consumption.
Photo from LexusFast charging is listed as CHAdeMO. Dimensionally, the vehicle is 4,860 mm long, 1,965 mm wide, 1,615 mm tall, with a 2,850 mm wheelbase, and a stated vehicle weight of 2,140 kg. Tyres are staggered, 255/40R21 at the front and 295/35R21 at the rear.
For Japan, Lexus lists the special edition at ¥12,440,000 for the Black and HAKUGIN II version and ¥12,165,000 for Black and Neutrino Gray, both AWD. That’s about RM322,000 and RM315,000 respectively.
