KUALA LUMPUR: It seems like a pretty good year for the country Down Under, aka Australia. It was only a while back we informed you about the soon arrival of the Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray V8 hybrid and now Chery is returning to the country.

    Chery Australia Managing Director, Andy Zhang also confirmed that the automaker will be putting up approximately 60 showrooms to strengthen its network. All this along with every vehicle with a seven-year, unlimited mileage warranty and a five-star safety rating. To begin with, the Omoda 5 SUV recently grabbed a 5-star rating via EURO NCAP.

    Chery in Malaysia

    As mentioned earlier, Chery will begin its journey in Malaysia with the Omoda 5 SUV, followed by the Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 4 Pro, and Tiggo 7 Pro in Q2 2023. Also, the brand plans to assemble EV and PHEV models locally by 2024.
