Ford showcases Ranger’s capabilities through an online game

KUALA LUMPUR: Ford Ranger is a robust vehicle that is loaded with style and some amazing features. However, Ford seems to celebrate its pickup further and that too in a unique way, i.e. through an interactive online game, the 'Ford for Food". Sounds fun! Right?

On this new, interactive initiative Syed Ahmed Syed Fraiz, Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto Connexion said, “The ‘Ford for Food’ online contest builds on Malaysians love for food, especially Ford Ranger owners who are known to be foodies and avid gamers. The game provides an interactive and immersive way to showcase the various features and capabilities of the smarter, tougher, and more efficient new Ranger.”

Here’s all you need to know about the ‘Ford for Food’ online game -

1. Sime Darby Auto Connexion, the only distributor of Ford in Malaysia launched this contest today, and it'll run until the end of the year

2. The ‘Ford for Food’ is an online contest in the form of an exiting game

3. This game highlights one company’s popular cars in its most powerful, capable, and versatile variant - the Ranger Wildtrak

4. This online game cum contest is open for everyone who’s of the age 18 or above

5. Interested individuals can participate in the contest, i.e. play the Ranger Wildtrak game by visiting the contest page at SDAC’s website and then log-in their Facebook accounts

6. This game is mobile-friendly and can be played on smartphones, in addition to laptops and PCs

7. Each week, SDAC will announce top three scorers, who will receive prizes in the form of Ford merchandise

8. Also, there's no restriction on the number of times one can play the game in a week. In fact, SDAC is encouraging participants to play again and again to improve their scores

As for the game insight, the ‘Ford for Food’ online contest features the Ranger Wildtrak that’ll take participants to predefined routes in different Malaysian states. The game is divided into three stages, all featuring different road conditions from city streets to highway to off-road. Driving through each level, participants are required to pick as many food items as they can, to score. Also, as the player will collect more and more food items, they’ll be able to unlock Ranger’s key features and further enhance their score. Winners will be announced at the end of each week at Ford Malaysia Facebook page.
