Hyundai Malaysia offers new Shell-Hyundai brand engine oils and aftersales service plans to customers

Kuala Lumpur: Hyundai Malaysia - Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) officially announced Shell-Hyundai Helix HX 7 AH (semi-synthetic) and Shell-Hyundai Ultra AH (fully synthetic) engine oils. These new offerings will be provided exclusively for Hyundai Malaysia vehicles. In addition to it, Hyundai Malaysia also introduced a new aftersales service programme, complete with a convenient mobile app.

The Shell-Hyundai engine oils introduced as new range will compliment all engine types for Hyundai cars, including petrol, diesel, NGV, bio-diesel and ethanol blends. The Shell-Hyundai engine oils are optimised over performance by enhancing engine fuel economy and cooling performance, ensuring lubricity at extreme temperatures, plus offer oxidation protection before regulating it thoroughly in the system.

The engine oils will be provided to all the Hyundai authorised service centres in the country, starting with Peninsular Malaysia in December 2015, and in East Malaysia beginning January 2016.

Hyundai Motor Co. and Shell Lubricants recently renewed their agreement for the Dutch company to be the preferred aftermarket motor oil supplier for Hyundai vehicles worldwide. The agreement was signed in early January 2015 and will be in effect for five years. For these years, motor oils produced by Shell will be recommended in Hyundai workshops to customers in Malaysia and to more than 70 countries at the global level.

Once you purchase any Hyundai car, you will be provided with good aftersales services by Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM). The aftersales services have been revised in the system and has given a specific name, as “Hyundai Care Programme.” The changes made in the service system is expected to offer a more cost-effective and time-saving service. The programme will be applied to all the Hyundai cars purchase in 2016.

Within the Hyundai Care Programme, there are three packages – Care Basic, Care Advance and Care Advance Plus. The first package i.e. Care Basic will look after the basic run time of the car, based on which the team will replace engine oil, oil filter and oil plug gasket.

Care Advance offers replacement of several other maintenance items such as the vehicle’s air filter, brake fluid, air-con filter, spark plug and coolant. For those customers who want major servicing of their cars, they have Care Advance Plus service package.

Even more, Hyundai Malaysia also introduced the “My Hyundai Care App” – an iOS and Android-compatible mobile app that provides customers with the convenience of obtaining various services. All the Hyundai car buyers can download the My Hyundai Care App from December 1, 2015. This application is free to download and use. Few notable features of this app are service reminder via push notification, making a service appointment and opting for your preferred service centre.

Taking use of this application will also keep you informed about the Hyundai’s service history for your vehicle, and offers an SOS call function in times of emergency and to activate the 24/7 roadside assist.
