Hyundai Tucson prices cut by up to RM8,088 in Malaysia, now from RM159,800

KUALA LUMPUR: The Hyundai Tucson is now priced from RM159,800 in Malaysia, following a price revision across all three variants. The reductions take effect immediately, with savings ranging from RM5,088 to RM8,088.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) says there are no changes to specifications, equipment or safety features accompanying the lower prices. Buyers will get the same equipment as before, including Hyundai SmartSense across the range.

The revised Hyundai Tucson prices are:

The Tucson Prestige HEV gets the largest price cut, dropping RM8,088 to RM189,800. The Prestige AWD falls by RM7,088 to RM179,800, while the entry-level Prime is RM5,088 cheaper at RM159,800.

That leaves a RM20,000 gap between the Prime and Prestige AWD, with another RM10,000 separating the AWD variant from the HEV.

HMY says the revision is intended to make the Tucson more accessible to Malaysian buyers. Managing Director Ms Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen said:

“The TUCSON has consistently been one of Hyundai’s best-performing models globally, earning the trust of customers through its innovative design, advanced safety technologies and everyday versatility. We wanted to make the TUCSON even more accessible to customers in Malaysia, while continuing to deliver the quality, safety and ownership experience that are line with our global brand standards. This pricing revision reflects our commitment to creating greater value for our customers and our promise to be Sentiasa di sisi anda,”

According to Hyundai, the Tucson is its bestselling SUV globally, with more than 10 million units sold since the nameplate was introduced in 2004.

For Malaysian buyers who doesn't love a lower priced vehicle, the main change here is straightforward: a lower asking price across the line-up, without losing equipment.
