inDrive celebrates Merdeka 2023 with a convoy from Putrajaya to Dataran Merdeka

KUALA LUMPUR: Merdeka Day holds deep emotional and historical significance for Malaysians. The 2023 celebration was a grand display of national pride, and inDrive, an urban services and global mobility platform, played a major role in making this event even more memorable. 

The company organised a convoy on 27 August 2023 from Putrajaya to Dataran Merdeka to pay tribute to Malaysia's history and spread the joy of freedom. The 'Kembara Merdeka bersama inDrive' commenced its journey from Precinct 1 in Putrajaya. The convoy featured fifteen national cars passing through Kajang, Serdang, Taman OUG, Seri Kembangan, Bukit Jalil, and Jalan Klang Lama.

The convoy also passed through some of the most beautiful locations, such as PETRONAS Twin Towers, Brickfields, and Bukit Bintang, and their final destination was the historic Dataran Merdeka. 

This year's theme of the National Day celebration was 'Malaysia Madani: Tekad Perpaduan Penuhi Harapan.' The event took place at Putrajaya with more than 100,000 attendees.

Nathan S/O Letchumanan, an inDrive user who participated in the convoy, said it is important for Malaysians to show their love for the country, especially during this special month. "I am thrilled to be a part of this convoy and to show how proud I am to be a Malaysian. Everyone should take this opportunity to cherish the Merdeka spirit." 

"We're proud to announce that we will also be exhibiting at the National Day celebration in Putrajaya on 31 August. Our booth will be located at Jalan P2p, Presint 2 (between the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living & Ministry of Plantation and Commodities) and we invite everyone to join in the celebration," said Nabil. 

"We advise those who plan to celebrate Merdeka at Putrajaya this coming Thursday to plan their journey ahead of time. Use ride-hailing services to avoid the hassle of getting a parking spot.
