MAS 2025: iCAUR makes Malaysia debut with three electric SUVs

KUALA LUMPUR: iCaur has made its official debut in Malaysia at the MAS 2025. For those who aren’t aware, it is a dedicated off-road New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand that is a result of the coming together of Chery and SmartMi Tech. The brand last month made its global launch at the Auto Shanghai and now Malaysia becomes the first ASEAN market to welcome iCAUR.

iCAUR Malaysia Vice President, Emily Lek, during the debut event said, “Intelligence, Innovation, Interaction and most of all - Born to Play! iCAUR goes beyond a means of transport; it’s an extension of you—crafted for the explorers, trendsetters, the young and the young at heart.”

She further added, “We have forged an undeniable imprint in Malaysia and look forward to forging new opportunities, leveraging our leadership in new energy technology and mobility solutions.”

For the Malaysian market, iCaur has a bold vision of leading the NEV segment and appealing to the new generation of drivers with its innovative and standout products. The brand aims to create products that resonate with the youth’s sense of individuality and freedom of self-expression. Furthermore, the brand has announced its first eleven dealership partners in the country.

iCAUR at MAS 2025

For its MAS 2025 debut, iCaur chose to preview three SUVs, all fully electric. This list includes -

• iCaur 03
• iCaur 03T
• iCaur V23

While all these electric SUVs will launch soon in Malaysia, it is the iCaur 03 that is scheduled to go on sale during Q3 2025.

iCAUR 03 - Key details

• Showcasing the company’s BOX design language, the SUV highlights bold aesthetics and daring styling.
• This all-electric car is available in two configurations - 2-Wheel Drive (2WD) and Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD)
• The iCaur 03 2WD model features a rear-mounted 135 kW motor that generates 220 NM of torque. It features a 65.7 kWh LFP battery and offers a range of 426 km.

• The iCaur 03 iWD is the more performance-oriented variant and gets a front axle motor giving out 275 hp and 385 Nm of torque. It gets a large 69.8 kWh battery that delivers a range of 418 km.
• The EV offers advanced infotainment with its digital cockpit that features a 15.6-inch ultra-wide central display and a 9.2-inch driver information cluster
• Safety profile is strong with Level 2.5 driver assistance suite that includes Emergency Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Jam Assist
• It gets DC fast charging support, which allows the battery to go from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

• The car packs a host of proprietary features that aim to blend comfort and performance. The list includes -
  - iCARE, which is the all-aluminium multi-cage design and battery armour body structure. It offers optimal protection for both passengers and the battery in the event of a collision.
  - iBRAND, it enhances the driving experience with features such as a 12-speaker INFINITY sound system and a 540-degree ‘Transparent Chassis’ camera for all-around visibility on any terrain.
  - iROAD, it packs six selectable drive modes for urban streets and off-road adventures. Thus, it ensures amazing traction and control every time you drive.
  

iCaur 03T & iCaur V23

Information about iCaur 03T and Caur V23 is scarce at the moment, however, we know that the 03T is a bold, urban-centric SUV built for those demanding style and substance. On the other hand, V23 gets classic off-road DNA and robust capabilities.
