Mercedes-Benz brings X156 GLA200 Style facelift in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has taken the wraps off the new GLA model, X156 GLA200 Style. The car is the latest addition to the popular GLA lineup, which also has other versions like GLA 200 Night Edition, GLA 45, and GLA 250 AMG Line.

The new facelifted GLA comes with some addition to the styling to make it shiny. The car rides on the 18-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels. The beltline strip gets additional inserts. The radiator grille has high-gloss chrome, whereas the load sill guard also adores a chrome finish.

Getting inside the car, there is the Artico faux leather/Macapa fabric and black matrix-look trim combination upholstery. There is an 8-inch display along with the Audio 20 system having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Moreover, there is a seat comfort package and Keyless-Go that come as notable features.

New Mercedes-Benz X156 GLA200 facelift is equipped with an M270 DE 16 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, which can make a maximum power of 154 hp along with a peak torque of 250 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 7G-DCT seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It takes just 8.1 seconds to reach from 0 to 100 kmph. Moreover, the car can achieve a top speed of 215 kmph.

Coming to the safety and driver assistance equipment, there is Active Parking Assist with Parktronic. The car also gets Attention Assist and Active Brake Assist, which is also known as autonomous emergency braking. The X156 GLA200 price tag reads RM 223,888, excluding the insurance.
