The Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres sport a Dual Sport Tread Design technology inspired by motorsport experience. It features large grooves on the inner side and a high void ratio offering better wet-road traction, while the external side carries rigid blocks to provide enhanced grip on dry roads. The large longitudinal grooves of the tyres are meant for diverting water out of the way efficiently.

Adding to the lasting performance of the tyres is Dynamic Response technology. This system is equipped with a hybrid aramid and nylon belt for “optimum transmission of steering instructions onto the road” providing exceptional responsive driving.

The tyres also have a Premium Touch Sidewall Design and Wear2Check system serving as a treadwear indicator.

While introducing the new tyres, the company’s Managing Director, Oliver Biggart stated, “With the Michelin Pilot Sport 5, it further strengthens our complete and best overall high-performance Pilot Sport range, with ‘Performance Made to Last’ being our key differentiator. The new Michelin PS5 is perfect for drivers who demand sporty driving performance and expect nothing but the best.”
