Mitsubishi Xforce moves one step closer to Malaysia launch, local assembly begins in Pekan

KUALA LUMPUR: Introduced globally in 2023, the Mitsubishi Xforce is set to launch in Malaysia this year. The local official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles, Mitsubishi Motor Malaysia, began its teaser campaign last month, with bookings slated to commence in February. Well ahead of that, the first Mitsubishi Xforce has officially rolled off the assembly line in Pekan, Pahang.

This marks a significant milestone for Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia and underscores its continued commitment to product expansion and advanced local manufacturing. To support this milestone, the company has upgraded its Pekan manufacturing operations, including -

• Establishment of a new Sub-Assembly Body Shop
• Installation of advanced equipment across the paint, outfitting, and tester lines

MMM explained that the upcoming Xforce is produced in line with the brand’s globally established production standards, developed through decades of Japanese manufacturing expertise. It ensures consistent build quality, durability, and long-term reliability as the entire process (from body assembly to painting and final inspection) is governed by disciplined workmanship and stringent quality controls.

With comprehensive quality validation and production readiness checks, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia aims to deliver the first 800 units of the SUV within April.
