New Haval H9 SUV teased, will arrive soon

KUALA LUMPUR: The Chinese automotive marque, Haval has teased the upcoming H9 SUV on its Facebook page. Further, it is also organising a public preview at its Skudai showroom on October 17th and 18th from 10:30 AM to 7 PM.

Interestingly, Haval had originally previewed the H9 SUV last year with a promise of launching in the second half of 2018. However, that never happened. The model on preview now has distinctive looks, and it looks like an updated version of one that was introduced earlier.

A lot of design modification has been done in this update that includes a new front bumper with larger air intakes. Also, the ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox has replaced the old six-speed automatic transmission. The instrument cluster is also revised, and the digital speedometer takes the centre place.

Under the hood, there is a 2.0-litre GW4C20 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol mill that can make a maximum power of 215 hp, while the peak torque is 324 Nm. The car features an AWD system having Auto, 4L, 2H, and 4H modes.

The new Haval H9 SUV will arrive in three variants including - Standard, Luxury, and Super Luxury. The first in the list, Standard variant features xenon headlights, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, triple-zone climate control, push-button start, and a reverse camera. In the safety department, the car gets ABS with EBD, six airbags, brake assist, hill start assist, and stability control.

Next in the list is the Luxury version, which has an All-Terrain Control System with three driving modes (Mud, Sand, and Snow). Apart from the standard features, there are an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, leather upholstery with the black-and-brown finish, 18-inch alloys, power-adjustable front seats with memory, air purification, a sunroof, and a 10-speaker sound system.

The flagship variant, Super Luxury has some additional features like - ventilated and massage seats, Nappa leather, power-folding seats (third-row), an electronic locking differential, and six-way adjustable passenger seat having shoulder switches.
