Thailand welcomes the all-new 9th-gen Camry; here’s what is on offer

KUALA LUMPUR: Toyota has officially launched the all-new 9th-generation Camry in Thailand. The car is offered in three variant options namely, Smart, Premium, and Premium Luxury with prices starting from THB 1.475 million (around RM 190,000).

    Platform: The 9th-gen Camry sits on Toyota’s TNGA-K platform, which enhances the car's agility and ride comfort.

    Design: The new Camry features a revamped front fascia with a sleeker nose and U-shaped LED signature lights, offering a bold yet refined appearance. Likewise, the side- and rear profiles showcase several new and attractive bits that offer both function and form.

    Powertrain: The latest iteration of the new Camry boasts a hybrid-only powertrain across the lineup, featuring the advanced 2.5-litre Dynamic Force Hybrid system. The said setup includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with Toyota's THS II, delivering a maximum power output of 188 hp and 221 Nm. The total output reaches to 227 hp, all thanks to the electric motor. The power is sent to all our wheels and ensures both performance and fuel efficiency.

    Interior: Open the door and you will be greeted by a welcoming cabin that is loaded with features. Included in the list is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (in lower variants), a 12.3-inch display, and a 10-inch head-up display in the higher-end variants. Further, all variants come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside wireless charging and USB ports for both front and rear passengers.

    • Standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (  lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and pre-collision safety)

    • Three-zone climate control
    • Seat ventilation & memory functions (for driver’s seat)

    Safety & security: The 9th-gen Camry is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 across all trims, providing advanced driver assistance features including - lane-tracing assist, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and dynamic radar cruise control. Also, part of the safety kit includes multiple airbags, including knee airbags for the driver, to ensure high levels of safety.
