Reliability is very disappointing and frustrating

While the Volvo XC40 looks modern and stylish and has a well-equipped cabin, my experience after just four months has been frustrating. The collision avoidance system gets activated frequently unnecessarily, pulling the car left and slamming brakes—even on empty country roads. It’s dangerous and alarming, especially at 65 mph on highways. Despite making so many trips to the service center, the problem has not been resolved. Additionally, within five months, an airbag had to be replaced and a side panel kept falling. For such a promising vehicle the reliability is very disappointing.
