2019 Subaru Levorg ditches turbo-engine for a naturally aspirated mill in the UK
KUALA LUMPUR: The Japanese car manufacturer, Subaru has made the debut of the new Levorg, and as per its specifications, the brand drops the turbo engine for a naturally aspirated engine. With this the manufacturer has compromised with the power output, even providing a higher displacement engine.
In the UK, 2019 Subaru Levorg is launched with a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre boxer mill that is borrowed from the FB family. The engine can make a maximum power of 150 hp, and the peak torque is 198 Nm. While the one, which has been replaced, is a turbo 1.6-litre engine that can make a maximum power of 170 hp and the peak torque is 250 Nm. The Europe only model had a 2.0-litre mill, which is capable of providing a maximum power of 300 hp, along with 400 Nm of peak torque.
On an average basis, the car can provide a mileage of 13.7 kmpl as pe the WLTP cycle’s calculation, which means the mileage for the vehicle has also increased, as the dropped 1.6-liter turbo engine provides a fuel efficiency of 14.5. However, the carmaker has provided with the all-wheel-drive system.
Inside the cabin of 2019 Subaru Levorg, the brand provides a new generation 3.1 multimedia system that has a seven-inch touch screen display as a part. The display is DAB digital radio compatible, and get the connectivity options like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2019 Subaru Levorg comes with LED headlamps that feature the curve lighting function. Other features include rain and light sensors, dual air conditioning system, an updated EyeSight safety system and a rearview camera.
