2023 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace lineup gets the IQ.DRIVE suite in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: After Volkswagen Golf GTI and Arteon R-Line 4MOTION, it's the Tiguan Allspace family's turn to get the brand’s updated IQ.DRIVE suite in Malaysia. The new ADAS pack comprises several advanced safety systems, which promise a more comfortable and safer journey for occupants. 

Available in all three 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace variants - R-Line, Elegance, and Life, the list of the new IQ.DRIVE features include -

• Front Assist
• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Side Assist
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert
• Lane Assist 

Not only that, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has also updated the technology pack of the SUV. It now comes with a wireless charging pad as standard. 

Ongoing equipment kit comprises a Digital Cockpit, 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system, wireless App-Connect (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), three-zone ‘Air Care Climatronic’ air-conditioning system, multi-view rear-view camera, electric tailgate, USB-C interface and charging sockets, and voice control.

Powering the Tiguan Allspace Life and Elegance trims is a 1.4-litre TSI turbocharged engine, which kicks out a maximum power of 150 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed DSG. The Tiguan Allspace R-Line variant, on the other hand, gets energy from a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged mill producing 220 PS and 350 Nm. Here, the transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed DSG.

All the variants of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace are now offered with the newly-launched Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP). The package is optional and offers an additional three years of extended unlimited mileage warranty and three years of maintenance to buyers. The pricing of the pack ranges from RM 8,000 to RM 10,000, depending on the selected model.
