KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • When will the Hyundai Staria launch in Malaysia?

Hyundai Sime-Darby Motors will launch the all-new Staria MPV on its official Facebook page on 27 October 2021, in single Premium trim.
  • How big is the Hyundai Staria exactly?

The Hyundai Staria is 5,253 mm long, 1,997 mm wide, and 1,990 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,273 mm.
  • What is the seating capacity of the Hyundai Staria?

The Malaysian-spec Hyundai Staria will have seating for seven passengers with individual Premium Relaxation Seats in the middle row.
  • Supposed to replace the Starex, the new MPV features a far more futuristic exterior and interior design compared to the predecessor. On the front, we can see a large rectangular grille, square-shaped LED headlights, and a long, horizontal DRL bar. Towards the rear, a pair of sliding doors, a tall roofline, and vertically-mounted tail lights are among the main attractions. Further, adding a dose of premiumness to the MPVs exterior design are dual-tone alloy wheels.

Dimensionally, the Staria is 5,253 mm long, 1,997 mm wide, and 1,990 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 3,273 mm.

The Malaysian-spec model will have seating for seven passengers with individual Premium Relaxation Seats in the middle row. These will be equipped with a one-touch relaxation control for a more reclined position and long footrests. Not only second-row, but the third row will have ample space for adults, Hyundai says.

Staria's feature kit includes a hi-tech touchscreen infotainment display, advanced digital instrument cluster, slim, wide-width air vents, push-button gear selector, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a Bose sound system. As for safety, it is likely to be fitted with the brand’s latest SmartSense advanced-driver assistance suite.

Powering the new Staria MPV is a 2.2-litre turbo diesel mill generating maximum power of 177 PS and a peak torque of 431 Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

For more information, we have to wait for the Staria launch, which is just a day away.
