BMW Malaysia officially teased G01 X3, hints on its soon arrival

KUALA LUMPUR: Days after Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur teased us with the front fender image of the all-new DB11 V8, it’s now the German guy adopting the same path. However, the former British beauty came with a launch date and is already up for sale at the dealerships. BMW Malaysia didn't specify any arrival time and just dropped a dusky image of the G01 X3 accompanied with the text ‘YOUR MISSION AWAITS.’

The said Facebook post also includes a ROI link, which onlookers can click and register themselves, given that the new X3 enticed them and they would like to receive direct first-hand updates.

The G01 was unveiled for the first time in June 2017 and was introduced as a successor of the second-generation F25 which arrived back in 2010 and received an LCI update in 2014. As for the teased version, the same car was captured camouflaged a few days back in the country. All this hints towards a pretty soon arrival of the all-new BMW X3.

Though the company has not yet spilled out any information regarding the G01 BMW X3, our experts taking clues from the camouflaged unit, we have sourced the following details -

• The X3 will come with the BMW Luxury Design Kit - chrome infused window trim, silver skid plates, fog lamp, and side moldings
• The car would run on a set of 19-inch LMR Style 696 double spoke wheels
• Large Kidney grille that is no longer attached to the full-LED headlamps
• Smaller tail lights
• Air Breather elements on front wheels
• Bolder front bumper

The all-new BMW X3 is expected to run on a sDrive 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder powertrain that generates a maximum power of 185 PS along with a peak torque of 290 Nm. The performance package is expected to include an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Once launched, the new X3 is expected to range close to the RM290,000 price tag, thus, all set to compete against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo XC60.
