BMW Malaysia launches two new models - X3 30 xDrive M Sport and long-wheelbase  iX1 EV

KUALA LUMPUR: BMW has expanded the X3 lineup in Malaysia, with the launch of a new variant, the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport. As the name suggests, the latest model sits above the X3 20 xDrive M Sport, introduced last year. At the same time, the automaker also announced the pricing for the all-new BMW iX1 eDrive20L M Sport, revealed earlier this year.

    2026 BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport 

    The all-new BMW X3 variant offers a comfortable yet sporty driving experience, thanks to its advanced suspension setup and all-wheel drive system backed by a more powerful four-cylinder engine. 

    The SUV features a bold and modern exterior design with sculpted body lines and a large Pearl Chrome BMW kidney grille integrating BMW Iconic Glow Lighting. It comes equipped with new Adaptive LED headlights featuring cornering light for enhanced visibility.

    Giving the new X3 a sporty stance is a long bonnet, short overhangs, a reinterpreted Hofmeister kink, and muscular wheel arches. It rides on exclusive 20-inch M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 1036 M Bicolour, paired with M Sport brakes in dark blue metallic. At the rear, new split LED tail lights add a fresh vibe.

    Under the skin of the new X3 30 xDrive M Sport lies a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, integrated with 48V mild hybrid technology. Also part of the setup is an eight-speed Steptronic transmission and BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system.

    The drivetrain generates a combined output of 258 hp and a peak torque of 400 Nm, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240 kmph. 

    The higher-spec model also comes with improved suspension and steering settings for sharper handling and better riding comfort. 

    As for safety, the new BMW X3 comes with the Driving Assistant Plus suite, which includes -

    This is the long-wheelbase variant of the iX1 electric SUV, with a 110 mm extended wheelbase and an overall length increased by 116 mm, offering improved rear space and comfort. Alongside the additional legroom and kneeroom, the L version comes with softer foam cushioning and a longer seat base for extra comfort.

    At its core lies a single front-wheel drive motor which produces 204 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The motor is fed by a 66.5 kWh battery pack, delivering a cruising range of 433 km (on the WLTP cycle). It supports 11 kW AC and 130 kW DC charging, the latter replenishes 10 to 80% battery in just 32 minutes.
