Camouflaging Its Aesthetics, Maruti YRA Spotted
KUALA LUMPUR: With nearly no covers on, the Maruti YRA was tested recently. Different cars like the Hyundai Elite i20, VW Polo and the new Honda Jazz having length of hatchback longer than 4m, are targeted primarily. These will be going to be launched on July 2015.
Earlier in this year, the Suzuki iK-2 concept at the Geneva Motor Show has given the preview of YRA. A new Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engine has some concept which has excellent efficiency and it will be appreciated to an all-new lightweight design. It is expected to launch in mid of this year and this 1.0 litre unit is also expected to manufacture its own specification.
The left-hand drive specification involves a chrome grille, the YRA sports foglights, chrome door handles, wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, a rear spoiler, multi-spoke alloy wheels and a rear wiper and washer.
In addition to the Boosterjet petrol motor, the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine provides capacity to the YRA. The YRA has also been exported by Maruti to the European market, where it is expected to be launched next year in the Indian market.
