Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok: The Isuzu D-Max facelift is finally revealed in Thailand, the herculean pickup truck gets an updated front fascia along with a refined cabin with an all new 1.9 litre Ddi Blue Power turbodiesel engine. Starting with the updated looks of the car, the front of the pickup truck is revamped with a more aggressive looking grille with a rejuvenated LED lamps integrated with daylight running lights. The side profile of the ISUZU D-Max is been updated with an all new set of 18-inch alloys. Although, the daytime running lamps and the alloys will be made available in the top spec model.

On the inside, the truck will be offered this time with an optional eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a new TFT instrument cluster. Besides that the D-Max’s cabin and layout remain virtually unchanged from before although the upholstery depending is tweaked a bit based on trim level.

The major update in the facelift of Isuzu D-Max gets revealed when you open the bonnet of the pickup. The all-new D-Max will be powered by an RZ4E-TC 1.9 litre Ddi Blue Power turbodiesel engine which will replace the outgoing 4JK1-TCX 2.5-litre mill. Isuzu says the new engine is 16 hp more powerful and 30 Nm torquier than the outgoing engine while being 20% lighter in weight. The four-cylinder turbodiesel engine will churn out a 150 hp at 3,600 rpm and 350 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 2,600 rpm. It is also claimed to be 19% more fuel efficient while CO2 emission is rated at 161 g/km. The much heavier upgrade joining the league will be the 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine, which produces 177 hp and 380 Nm of torque, and remains on the top of the model range.
