Kia Telluride to get Nightfall package, details revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Kia is busy making its lineup cooler than ever. Recently Car Direct reported that the automaker would be adding a new special edition to its Telluride SUV range, called the Nightfall. The package is believed to add something truly special to this already good-looking vehicle. Kia has not yet released the official images but has released the description and price details.

It seems such black-out kits have become very popular amongst family SUV with brands such as Toyota and Honda offering black editions for their models. Like the Honda Pilot Black Edition package, and Toyota Nightshade package for many of its cars.

The Kia Telluride Nightfall package is priced at $1,295 and will be available with the SUVs all-wheel-drive versions of EV and SX trim. However, the base EX trim would also require the Premium Package to fit in the Nightfall kit that includes -

• Black headlamps bezel
• 20-inch black wheels with dark chrome lug nuts
• Gloss black roof rails
• Gloss black door trim
• Gloss black skid plates
• Dark emblems

In short, all the silver and satin chrome trims are replaced by gloss black trim. Additionally, customers can also opt for a brand new interior color called Wolf Gray for, adding a black hue inside as well.

Like most of the packages, in the Nightfall edition too, the mechanical configurations under the hood will remain unchanged. The Telluride is still powered by a 3.8-litre V6, which makes a maximum power of 291 hp and a peak torque of 355 Nm.

Besides, Kia Sportage will also get the Nightfall package. It will cost $1500 and will only be available on the S trim. Here in Sportage, it will include -

• Piano black front and rear skid plates
• Panoramic sunroof
• Windshield de-icer
• Dark Gray grille with Piano black accents
• Solar glass
• Black badging
• Sport steering wheel
• Illuminated sun visor mirror
• LED interior lighting
• Sports pedals
• Power driver’s seat
