Presented by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM), the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE is designed to deliver confidence, stability, and overall enhanced performance under different driving conditions. Unlike conventional hybrids, Nissan’s unique e-POWER technology is 100% electric motor-driven. It is engineered to deliver an electric driving experience, with a dedicated petrol engine serving solely as a generator to charge the battery. That said, e-POWER embodies Nissan’s vision of making electrified mobility more “practical, enjoyable, and accessible for everyday driving” and is now being adopted across a growing range of segments.

    e-4ORCE: NISSAN’s Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Control Technology

As mentioned earlier, the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE runs on the brand’s advanced electric all-wheel-control technology, which provides real-time torque and braking control to all four wheels individually. The e-4ORCE guarantees confident acceleration, smoother deceleration, and responsive handling, even on challenging surfaces, by independently managing front and rear motor output.

What sets the e-4ORCE apart from traditional all-wheel-drive (AWD) systems is its ability to rapidly and precisely control front and rear torque through a dual-electric-motor setup. This helps eliminate power delivery delays that can compromise responsiveness and overall handling precision.

The Expansion of Nissan’s Electrified Portfolio

At Nissan’s booth, the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE is showcased alongside the MPV of the Year 2026, the locally assembled All-New Nissan Serena e-POWER, and the Vehicle of the Year 2025, the Nissan Kicks e-POWER. Together, these models reinforce Nissan’s expanding electrified line-up in Malaysia.

“Malaysia plays an important role in Nissan’s growth in ASEAN, supported by our long‑standing presence and strong local partnerships. The introduction of the New Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE today marks an important step in expanding our electrified line-up and delivering greater value to Malaysian customers.” Nissan ASEAN & Nissan Thailand President Masao Tsutsumi said.

“This milestone marks another important step in our journey following the introduction of the Nissan KICKS e‑POWER and the All-New Nissan Serena e-POWER. It also reflects strong confidence in Malaysia as a key market for the introduction of a new electrified premium SUV for Malaysian customers.” ETCM Executive Vice President Christopher Tan added.
