Lamborghini Huracan Evo rear end revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Last week, we covered a story on the images found in the Lamborghini smartphone app. The two images found in the application gave a little glimpse of what the headlamps and the air-intakes are going to look on the updated Huracan. The Italian automaker, however, was not done just yet. There has emerged a third image in the smartphone application which very clearly portrays the rear end of the Huracan Evo.

In the image, we see an exhaust design inspired by the Huracan Performante. The number plate on the Evo, however, has been positioned a little higher than where we find it on the Performante. Other aesthetic changes bring nothing new to the table as we have seen them already in the spy shots of the sports car.

The reason behind the higher positioning of the number plate is that the diffuser on this model is bigger than the one on the Huracan. The Huracan Evo also gets a new engine cover, rear grille, and a smaller twin-element rear wing. The Lamborghini text is placed in the centre of the new rear grille. As teased in the past, a new aero element can be seen on the lower side pod. The front fascia of the Huracan Evo still remains a mystery but it is expected to feature a design language focused on improving the aerodynamics of the car. On the inside, the Huracan Evo is expected to feature a brand new touchscreen infotainment system.

The current 5.2-litre V10 on the Huracan is also believed to receive a push. The same motor on the Audi R8 makes 620 PS and 580 Nm compared to the 610 PS and 560 Nm of the Huracan. The Huracan Evo is expected to at least match these improved figures if not exceed them.
