Leapmotor C10 and B10 now locally assembled in Malaysia; optional Remote Key Fob introduced
KUALA LUMPUR: Stellantis officially introduced the Leapmotor brand in Malaysia in 2024, launching the fully imported C10 D-segment electric SUV first, followed by the B10 C-segment electric SUV in 2025. Well, now the company has launched the locally assembled versions of both EVs in Malaysia.

This achievement reflects “Stellantis’ long-term commitment to expand localised manufacturing, driving local EV industrialisation, and making advanced, innovative electric mobility accessible to Malaysians.”
Stellantis made a total investment of EUR 5.3 million for the development of localised production capabilities, alongside production line and infrastructure upgrades at the Gurun plant.
Leapmotor C10 CKD: What’s new and what stays the same?
Priced at RM 125,000, the locally assembled EV introduces two new exterior shades - Violet and Lightning White, alongside Canopy Grey and Glazed Green. The Glazed Green exterior is paired with a Camel Brown interior, while all other body colours feature a sleek Black cabin.
The equipment list is carried over from the updated CBU model, with the drivetrain setup also remaining unchanged. The 69.9 kWh battery pack pairs with a 218 PS rear-wheel-drive motor and offers a zero-emission driving range of up to 424 km on a full charge (WLTP).
Leapmotor B10 CKD: What’s new and what stays the same?
- The B10 is now offered in a single Design variant priced at RM 118,800 (on-the-road, without insurance), with the earlier base Life variant now being discontinued.
- The exterior colour options have been reduced from five to four, with the Dawn Purple shade no longer available. The CKD model is available in Starry Night Blue, Tundra Grey, Metallic Black, and Light White colour choices, paired exclusively with a sophisticated Dark Grey interior.
In terms of drivetrain and features, things remain the same as the CBU model. The EV is powered by the same rear-mounted electric motor that generates a maximum power of 218 PS and a peak torque of 240 Nm. The motor is fed by a 67.1 kWh CATL-sourced LFP battery pack that provides a driving range of 434 km (on the WLTP cycle).
Remote key fob now available for the C10 and B10
Leapmotor has introduced an optional physical Remote Key Fob for both the C10 and B10, offering an elevated ownership experience to customers. Available for new and existing EV owners for RM 500, this accessory provides conventional keyless entry, although starting the vehicle still requires the NFC card on the centre console or a PIN.
Both Leapmotor C10 and B10 CKD models come backed by an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
