Mercedes Benz B-Class facelift (B 200) launched in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur: The long awaited facelift of Mercedes Benz B-Class has finally reached Malaysia. As the case was before, only B 200 Sports Tourer variant is up for sales in the country, and the drive is priced at RM 218,888. These figures are an exact match the price announced by Mercedes Benz Malaysia's updated price list.

In terms of powertrain, Mercedes Benz B-Class does not undergo any alteration, the 1.6-litre turbocharged engine delivers a maximum power output worth 156 hp alongside 250 Nm of torque which helps distributing power alongside the front wheels by the means of the same 7-speed DCT dual clutch transmission, which was sported on the precursor. Mercedes Benz B Class can get to 100 kmph from a halt in just around 8.4 seconds and alongside that reach a top speed of 200 kmph.

The facelift actually comes in a new Urban design alongside an upgraded equipment package. The latest version comes through with a 2-louvre grille, extra chrome headlights and integral exhaust finishers at the back of the drive. The all sport AMG Line, unfortunately was not launch in the Malaysian markets. Automatic headlamps, 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with run flat tyres and tyre pressure monitoring system are amongst the standard features on the outside. Added to the arsenal is a new reverse camera functionality. Amongst the inclusions are an automatic climate control, active parking assist, cruise control and heated/powered front seats with memory functionality. In terms of safety, 7 airbags are provided as standard, this includes a driver kneebag. Also, Collision Prevention Assist and Attention Assist are included.
