Much rumored 2019 Ferrari Dino; first look spied

Kuala Lumpur: Some spy photographers have managed to capture a Ferrari which looks like the much rumoured 'Dino'. If rumours are to be believed, then this could be the upcoming 2019 Ferrari Dino which was first mentioned in April this year. Judging by the sound coming from its engine, the automaker could be testing the drivetrain which is destined for Dino.

It shares the same platform with that of the Ferrari 458, but going by the sound of the engine, one thing was made clear that Dino would not share its same 4.5-litre V8 engine. That leads us to a speculation that Ferrari was testing out the new V-6 turbo engine that is rumoured to be employed in Dino. Apart from the alleged unique noise emitted by its engine, another thing which could be noticed are the large air intakes on the side to accommodate that rumoured turbo engine.

Going by the wheelbase, one can make out that this prototype features a smaller figure as compared to the Ferrari 488 GTB. Further, the rear deck appears to be shorter when compared to the above-mentioned car. Earlier Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne has commented- “We may produce a 500 horsepower Ferrari, but it will not be a cheap Ferrari.” So you may expect these power figures to match up its sky-high prices.

According to the reports, this car would be rolled out with a price tag of RM929,976. Dino would also provide Ferrari, an optimum chance to battle its rivals like Porsche 911 Turbo S, McLaren 570S and Mercedes-AMG GT.
