Proton Iriz R3 touring car is nearly ready to roll-on!

Kuala Lumpur: Few weeks ago, we noticed a picture of Proton Iriz R3 touring car posted on Instagram and this time, we get some latest photos released by Proton Motorsports on its Facebook page. Looking at the pictures, one can speculate that soon we can see the Proton Iriz R3 touring car, running on the roads of Malaysia.

This air of dubeity is cleared off with the pictures unveiled, wherein Proton Iriz R3 touring car is placed right next to eminent Suprima S. The Iriz certain seems like the manufacturing of the vehicle will get complete in time for Round 4 of the Malaysian Championship Series which is likely to happen on August 28 to 30.

The car's appearance features a full rare-spec roll cage, endowed with a 1600 cc engine unit as per Malaysian Touring Car specifications for MCS. This claimed power-train manage to whisk out a 190 horsepower without turbo coupled with a close-ratio five-speed manual transmission to the front wheels. Another treat to consider it a touring car is the presence of a six-point roll cage, Öhlins adjustable suspension and large Alcon disc brakes.

Framing an imagination out of all the pictures and information received, Proton Iriz R3 touring car is expected to get its final face in about two to three weeks time (as claimed by Proton Motorsport).
