Proton Iriz & Suprima S will be used as a police patrol car

Kuala Lumpur: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is looking forward to use the Proton Iriz and the Proton Suprima S, replacing the Proton Iswara which is currently provided to the department employees.

Right now, Proton Iswara is used as a patrol car by a small branch police chief, which is going to be replaced by Proton Iriz. While Suprima S would be used by the high designated police officers in the department.

According to sources, the opening ceremony and the handing over of the keys will be implemented formally in early November by the Chief of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

In mid-August, police began receiving 1,200 Proton Inspira for new patrol cars made in stages from the end of this year. Replacement of police patrol car was seen as an attempt to improve the image and integrity of the police forces.
