Volkswagen Malaysia introduced new Polo variant called Comfortline Vienna

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Malaysia has introduced a new variant in the Polo hatchback lineup. This new trim is called the “Comfortline Vienna” and is placed above the regular Comfortline. It features a couple of changes inside the cabin.

Just as one would expect, the new Polo variant has the plush “Vienna” upholstery in place of the “Livon” fabric that comes with the standard Comfortline trim. Moreover, apart from new upholstery, the car also features a new window tint from VW.

However, apart from these, there aren’t any other alterations made in the new Volkswagen Polo variant. The car still rides on the 15-inch alloy wheels. There are fog lamps on the front as well as rear. The windows have heat-insulating glass.

On the inside, there is a single-zone automatic climate control and leather-wrapped gear knob and steering wheel. The infotainment system has MirrorLink, App-Connect, and Bluetooth connectivity. There is a total of four speaks on the audio system.

The Vienna variant also has a good number of safety features. There are two airbags for the front passengers, seat belts for all the occupants, anti-pinch windows, and ISOFIX child seat system. As for there braking, there is an Anti-lock Braking System along with Brake Assist. There are parking sensors on four corners.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen Polo is powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that is mated to a 6-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox. The engine can churn out a total power of 105 PS at 5,250 rpm along with a peak torque of 153 Nm at 3,800 rpm.

This new Volkswagen Polo Comfortline Vienna has an on-road price of RM 76,228 without insurance. This means it is RM 3,000 more expensive than the standard Comfortline. So, now we know that the extra bucks are charged for the fine Vienna leather and the VW window Tint.
