100+ BYD Seal 6 EVs delivered in first week of launch

KUALA LUMPUR: BYD is one of the top-selling EV brands in Malaysia, which not only excels in developing hi-tech EVs but also demonstrates strong efficiency in deliveries. Testament to that is BYD Sime Motors’ recent milestone of delivering more than 100 units of the Seal 6 within one week of the model’s debut in the country.

Available across Peninsular and East Malaysia, the first batch of the EV has already been delivered to customers, allowing Malaysians to see, touch, test drive, and experience its smooth, responsive performance.

BYD Seal 6: Key highlights 

• The BYD Seal 6 is one of the most affordable and largest C-segment EV sedans, carrying a starting price of only RM 100k. 
• The EV measures 4,720 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, making it the longest, tallest, and widest in the C-segment category.

• The Seal 6 comes with first-in-BYD dual ball-joint MacPherson front struts and rear multi-link suspension, ensuring a comfortable driving experience.
• At the core lies a rear-wheel drive setup, which is unique in the segment and promises a premium sporty feel. The base-spec Dynamic trim produces 129 PS and 220 Nm, whereas the higher-spec Premium trim delivers 218 PS and 330 Nm. 

• Feeding the RWD motor is a 56.64 kWh Blade Battery pack, offering a driving range of 485 km (NEDC)
• Interior highlights include - 12.8-inch infotainment unit, 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, synthetic leather seats, panoramic glass roof, a wireless smartphone charging pad, ventilated front passenger seats, drive modes,  adaptive cruise control, 24 smart storage compartments, and 525L combined cargo capacity.
• The exterior colour options include - Arctic White, Harbour Grey, Misty Blue.
