2018 Toyota Alphard revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: The luxury van from the house of Toyota has been recently refreshed for 2018. Yes, the 2018 Toyota Alphard has been revealed in the home market with updated exterior styling and refreshed cabin. At the front, the 2018 Alphard features c-shaped LED headlights that smoothly integrates into the large radiator grille and grants an imposing character to the van. The bumper has now been integrated with chrome trims to give a refreshed appeal. The rear has been also updated with a wider chrome tailgate finish and LED tail lamps.

The cabin has received a modern touch with the black panels being accentuated with white wood grain trims and white nappa leather on the door panel and seats.

Powering the 2018 Toyota Alphard will be a new direct-injection 3.5-litre V6 2GR-FKS engine that delivers a maximum power output of 301 PS and coupled to an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission. There will be also a 2.5-litre inline-4 mated to a 7-speed Super CVT and a 2.5-litre gas Atkinson-cycle hybrid mated to a CVT with power being transmitted to all-wheels.

The safety features of the updated van include features like Toyota Safety Suite 2.0, which give it pre-crash safety detection of pedestrians, and bicycles, Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

However, we don’t have a fixed launch date of the 2018 Alphard, it is expected to arrive in the local market by the end of Q1 2018.
