2022 Honda Civic arrives in Indonesia, Will Malaysia be next?

KUALA LUMPUR: After making its debut in Thailand and Singapore markets, the all-new 11th-gen Honda Civic is now launched in Indonesia. The Indo-spec sedan is on offer in a sole RS variant featuring a more refined sporty appearance. and a series of advanced features. It is priced at IDR 567 million (approximately equal to RM 165,613). Let’s know more details.

For the Indonesian market, the 2022 Honda Civic is powered by a 1.5-litre DOHC VTEC Turbo engine that generates a maximum power output of 178 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 240 Nm at 4,500 rpm. Adding to the sporty driving sensation is the SPORT mode that offers more aggressive performance and is coupled with the paddle shifters for more sporty transmission shift control. An ECON Mode is also available for fuel-efficiency.

Will Malaysia be next?

The 11th-generation Honda Civic launch is still awaited in Malaysia, but it is expected soon as the Japanese automaker announced the arrival of more new models in 2021 last month. Following that, it has started teasing the City Hatchback with a ‘Coming Soon’ tag, we hope the new Civic will be next on the cards.
