2022 Perodua Alza interior features teased ahead of imminent launch

KUALA LUMPUR: Perodua opened the bookings for the all-new Alza last week along with revealing a few specifications and the tentative price of the upgraded MPV. Following that, it has been dropping a number of teasers surrounding the new model, previewing the upgraded features' look and feel. 

In one of the teaser clips, we can see the new safety feature of the upcoming Alza i.e. 360-degree panoramic view monitor. Being a Perodua first, this monitor gets activated with just a tap of a button positioned on the steering wheel. It provides complete visibility of the car’s surroundings and helps in easy manoeuvring while driving in heavy traffic.

Perodua also revealed the Drive Mode button mounted on the steering wheel, which will allow you to choose from three drive modes - Eco, Normal, and Power.

Another clip previews the comfortable seating of seven passengers inside the new Alza. We can see the roof-mounted rear air-conditioning vents and tumble forwarding functionality of the second row in the teaser video. The glimpse of the new Alza cabin also informed us about its two-tone black interior with red highlights on the seats and door cards.

Coming to the latest short video, here we see how the MPV’s electronic parking brake works. Located on the central console, EPB replaces the traditional parking brake and allows you to avoid the car’s motion when parked by just pulling a button.

• The 2022 Perodua Alza is offered in three variants - X, H and AV, tentatively priced between RM 62,000 and RM 75,000.
• All variants are powered by a new 1.5 litre Dual VVT-i engine coupled with a new D-CVT automatic gearbox.
• Touted as the best in its class, the fuel consumption is rated at 22 kmpl.
• The new Alza is equipped with the Perodua Smart Drive Assist pack, including Advanced Safety Assist, Driver Assist, Parking Assist, and Headlamp Assist. 
• It is available in five colours - Ivory White, Garnet Red, Glittering Silver, Elegant Black, and Vintage Brown.
