2024 Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid will unbox on February 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Back in May, Mitsubishi announced its plans to introduce the hybrid variant of its popular MPV, the Xpander, in 2024. Now, as promised, the automaker has taken the next step by releasing an enticing teaser for the highly anticipated 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid.

Released on Mitsubishi Thailand's social media handle, the teaser reveals that the global debut of the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid and Xpander Cross Hybrid will be held on February 1, 2024, in the Land of Smiles.

These two upcoming hybrid models are part of the brand's five electrified models, as it strives to have electrified vehicles account for half of its global sales by 2030.

There are no details yet available on the technical specifications of the upcoming Mitsubishi models. However, the teaser suggests a full hybrid mill that will not require plug-in charging. 

In terms of design, the Xpander Hybrid and Xpander Hybrid Cross exhibit a few dissimilarities from their conventionally powered counterparts. The MPVs feature stylish blue accents both on the bodywork and the wheels, symbolising their electrified nature. Apart from that, the Xpander Cross HEV is also likely to benefit from a more sturdy exterior with a rugged front grille, aggressive bumpers, and wheel arch cladding.

Well, for the exact specifications, we need to wait for the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander Hybrid and Xpander Cross Hybrid global debut, which is just a few days away.
