All-new Ora Good Cat, Good Cat GT Malaysian launch on November 6

KUALA LUMPUR: The all-new GWM Ora Good Cat EV is also set to hit the Malaysian roads on November 6, 2025, along with its sportier sibling, the Good Cat GT. 

The Ora Good Cat is one of the earliest fully electric models from China to be introduced in the Malaysian market, back in 2023. With its retro-modern design, practical driving range and premium features, it quickly became popular among urban EV adopters. Well, the upcoming models, with extra good packages, are set to grow their fanbase even further. 

Let’s dive deeper to know what new Ora Good Cats bring to the table.

2026 Ora Good Cat 

The new Ora Good Cat promises “Everything, Extra”, combining design, performance, and safety in a refined expression of modern electric mobility. It features -

• Extra Good Driving’ delivers smooth, responsive power and effortless comfort on every journey.
• ‘Extra Good Safety’ ensures total confidence through advanced driver assistance and intelligent protection. 

The 2026 Ora Good Cat price is estimated to be below RM 115,000, making it one of the most affordable EVs on the market. It will come powered by a single e-motor generating a maximum power of 143 PS and a peak torque of 210 Nm. 

The motor is paired with a 57.7-kWh SVOLT LFP battery, which offers a driving range of up to 480 km (NEDC). As far as the charging is concerned, the EV supports up to 6.6kW AC charging and 60kW DC charging; the latter recharges 30%–80% battery in just 38 minutes.

The upgraded feature kit comprises - a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, leatherette upholstery, Level 2 ADAS suite, 360° camera, and My GWM (App Support). 

2026 Ora Good Cat GT

The Ora Good Cat GT is a sportier, more performance-focused version of the compact electric hatchback. While it shares its core underpinnings with the regular model, the GT stands out with upgraded styling and a more powerful drivetrain.

The GT looks more aggressive in terms of appearance, thanks to its redesigned front bumper, chunkier wheel arch claddings, and extended side skirts. Adding to its sporty styling are yellow brake callipers, GT rear spoiler, GT-exclusive alloy wheels, GT sport seats, suede leather upholstery, and yellow stitching accents. 

The 2026 Ora Good Cat GT estimated price is RM 125,000. It is equipped with a more powerful motor, which is tuned to deliver a maximum power of 171 PS and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The GT also features a launch control mode for sharper acceleration, which is missing on the standard variant. However, the battery setups of the two models remain the same.

The tech and safety suite will also be the same as the regular Good Cat, with a few additional bits.
