Check out this one-off custom Proton X50

KUALA LUMPUR: The strikingly amazing Proton X50 you see in the pictures is an especially customized on-off Proton X50. It was built for the Sultan of Selangor’s brother, YAM Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.

This special ‘Royal’ X50 is built by Proton’s special vehicle division called Automotive Conversion Engineering (ACE). The said wing specializes in customizing Proton cars for special customers.

The news was shared by Proton on its official Facebook page wherein we get to have a good look at the car.

Here are some unique inclusions made to the specially-customized one-off X50 -

• The car features a special paint job with contrasting black stripes on the hood and side
• The hood features what appears like an eagle’s head, giving the car a powerful stance
• A chrome number plate below the front grille with a golden eagle on top

• Several golden inclusions like a golden ethereal bow on the grille, golden exhaust tips, and golden ‘Proton’ lettering on the rear
• It also features aftermarket wheels and Selangor royal crests
• The cabin features black leather seats with yellow stitching and shiny wood trim across the dashboard, steering wheel and centre console

What powers the one-off ‘Royal’ Proton X50?

No mechanical enhancements are made under the hood. The custom X50 is powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo mill as the standard model. This TGD-i 3-cyl mill generates a maximum power of 177 PS along with a peak torque of 225 Nm.
