Chery Malaysia Year-End Promo: Up to RM15k off Tiggo suvs, new 10-Year PHEV battery warranty

KUALA LUMPUR: Chery Malaysia has rolled out a year-end promo with rebates of up to RM15,000 across its Tiggo SUV range, plus extra perks for its plug-in hybrid models, as it looks to close out 2025 on a strong note.

The campaign covers several models in the local line-up, with savings structured as follows for West Malaysia (WM):

• Tiggo 7 PHEV – RM5,000 rebate, RM129,800

• Tiggo 8 PHEV – RM5,000 rebate, RM159,800

• Tiggo Cross HEV – RM5,000 rebate, RM99,800

• Tiggo Cross Turbo – RM5,000 rebate, RM88,800

• Tiggo 7 Pro – RM10,000 rebate, RM123,800

• Tiggo 8 Pro – RM15,000 rebate, RM159,800

The Tiggo 8 Pro sits at the top of the offer list with the biggest rebate, aimed at those who want a more premium-feeling three-row SUV. The Tiggo 7 Pro, positioned slightly lower in the range, also gets a sizeable RM10,000 cut, which will be of interest to families shopping in that price band.

On the electrified side, the Tiggo Cross HEV and Tiggo Cross Turbo, both pitched as urban-friendly crossovers, are offered with RM5,000 off. The newer Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV also get RM5,000 rebates each, which helps make them more competitive among plug-in hybrid SUVs.

Test drive a PHEV and enter a RM200,000 lucky draw

To add some festive pull, anyone who test-drives a Chery PHEV model between 9 December 2025 and 6 January 2026 will be entered into a lucky draw with prizes worth up to RM200,000. The grand prize is a Tiggo Cross HEV.

Chery says the exercise is not just about prizes but also about giving more Malaysians a chance to experience its Chery Super Hybrid setup firsthand. Both the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV combine electric drive with a petrol engine and are claimed to offer up to 1,200 km of combined driving range on a full tank and full charge. The system is designed to deliver instant torque for quick getaways, smoother highway cruising and the ability to move between EV and hybrid operation depending on the situation.

Free extended battery warranty for PHEV buyers

Perhaps the more meaningful part of the campaign for long-term owners is the complimentary extended battery warranty for all Chery PHEV models purchased this month.

To address concerns about battery durability and replacement costs, Chery Malaysia is providing a 10-year or 200,000 km battery warranty at no extra charge. The coverage is not limited to just the battery pack but also includes the battery power pack, power motor and vehicle control unit, which should help ease worries for first-time PHEV buyers.

The extended coverage is valued at RM3,000 but is being offered free to customers who purchase the Tiggo 7 PHEV or Tiggo 8 PHEV. Chery is also backdating this benefit to early adopters, so customers who have already bought these PHEV models since their launch in October are also eligible for the upgrade.
