Honda Thailand welcomes all-new City facelift

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only recently that Honda introduced the all-new City facelift in India and now the next country on the receiving end is none other than Thailand.

There is no word about the updated sedan’s arrival in the Malaysian market yet, however, it is a good idea to know the sedan in advance, as many times the models share similar configurations across ASEAN countries.

Overall the new City’s price ranges approximately between RM 83,788 and RM 111,754.

Exterior

The Thai-spec model features a new grille at the front along with a new bumper at both ends. Also, part of the kit is new alloy wheels with sizes ranging from 15 to 16 inches and a set of side skirts.

Interior

The cabin looks pretty much the same as the previous-gen model, however, it gains a 4.2-inch coloured TFT LCD multi-information display.

Powertrain

The City facelift is offered in two engine options - a 112hp/173 Nm 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbo mill and Honda’s Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) powertrain with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder Atkinson Cycle naturally-aspirated unit with an integrated starter-generator electric motor. The latter generates a total output of 109hp/253Nm.

Safety

The City facelift model gets Honda Sensing as standard along with a walk-away auto-lock function and an all-new lead car departure notification system (LCDN). The latter notifies the driver when the car in front has departed from a traffic stop.

Limited to the higher-end e:HEV variants is low speed follow (LSF) to autonomous cruise control (ACC) system.
