Hyundai inaugurates its first Southeast Asia factory in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: It is indeed a big day for Indonesia, as it becomes the first Southeast Asian country to house the Hyundai Motor Company plant.  Called the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia, the new plant will be building the IONIQ 5 EV and in a way help the country build a robust EV ecosystem.

    The new Hyundai plant in Indonesia exemplifies the automaker’s commitment to sustainable development and supports its ‘Progress for Humanity’ vision as well. How?     The first car slated for production at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia is none other than the IONIQ 5. It’s the same Hyundai EV that recently got launched in Malaysia.
