Jetour T1 SUV Malaysian launch is two days away!

KUALA LUMPUR: After making appearances at the Penang Autoshow 2026 and the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show, the Jetour T1 is finally set to officially launch in Malaysia. Jetour Auto Malaysia recently teased the rugged SUV on its social media channels, confirming that the highly anticipated launch will take place on July 22, 2026. 

The Jetour T1 is a five-seater SUV that sits below the more rugged, boxy T2 in the brand's lineup. It is offered in two variants - 1.5L TGDi 2WD and 2.0L TGDi XWD, with an estimated price starting from RM 143,800.

What does the Jetour T1 bring to the table?

Strong road presence

The upcoming Jetour model measures 4706 mm in length, 1967 mm in width, and 1845 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2810 mm. These dimensions put the vehicle in the mid-size SUV segment, giving it a strong road presence and generous cabin space. 

Rugged style with urban appeal

While the T2 leans hard into off-road credentials, the T1 has a more balanced approach. It retains the boxy SUV styling with a less aggressive design, making it suitable for those who want rugged aesthetics without compromising daily usability.

The SUV features upright proportions, muscular stance, and bold bumper design at both ends. Key highlights include full LED lighting units, front fog lights, 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, adjustable side mirrors with electric heating and automatic folding, a powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof.

Refined and feature-rich interior

The elegant interior of the SUV features a symmetrical T-shaped layout with ‘cloud-like’ comfort seats wrapped in leather upholstery, and a 12.8-inch multimedia infotainment unit (15.6-inch with the top-spec model) with a voice assistant. Other key highlights include - 

• 9-speaker Sony audio system
• Power-adjustable seats, driver memory seat
• 64-colour ambient lighting
• Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
• Keyless start system
• Wireless charging pad
• Automatic air-conditioning system

Turbocharged performance

Jetour offers the SUV in two different powertrain choices - 

• 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 184 PS and 290 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels
• 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol producing 254 PS and 390 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive

The SUV is equipped with a limited-slip differential and a rear electronic limited-slip differential, offering improved traction on rough terrains. Adding to the driving dynamics is a wading radar system and an off-road cruise mode.

Advanced safety

As for safety, the SUV is packed with 6 SRS airbags, an Advanced Driving Assistance System Level 2, and a panoramic view monitoring system. It has showcased strong performance in the ASEAN NCAP assessment under the 2021–2025 protocol, earning a 5-Star rating with a total score of 87.67 points.
