Mazda announces Carbon Edition package for 2021 CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6

KUALA LUMPUR: Mazda has introduced a new Carbon Edition package for three of its 2021 models - the CX-5 compact SUV, CX-9 SUV, and Mazda6 sedan. We are not sure exactly what Cabon indicates, but the images of the car released look appealing.

The Japanese automaker has not released much information about the package except for a few exterior and interior design specifications. And more detailed info on it is said to follow in the coming months.

Here’s what we know so far about the Mazda Carbon Edition package -

• All the models with the Carbon Edition package will feature a Polymetal Grey exterior paint
• Also, present on the exterior is black trim on the wheels, mirror, and few other parts
• On the inside, these models will come with red leather upholstery along with red stitching and black trim with a honeycomb pattern
• The trims infused with Carbon Edition package will come with standard features like heated front seats and smartphone-mirroring
• The package will also include driver assistance features like radar cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and Smart Brake Support

It is not the first time Mazda has introduced the Polymetal Grey tone for any of its models, earlier the same paint appeared on the Mazda3 hatchback. Other details like pricing and feature-list are yet to be released for the 2021 CX-5, CX-9, and Mazda6. However, we expect the company to reveal minor updates on the package soon.

It is not clear which variant will benefit from the Carbon Edition package, however, we are sure such a model will cost more than the regular ones.
