Mazda CX-9 debuts at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show

Kuala Lumpur/Los Angeles: The much anticipated Mazda CX-9 has finally been revealed at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. The CX-9 is presented with innovative technologies and the all-new SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine. Mazda CX-9 is an SUV from the house of Mazda mainly targeted for bigger families around the globe.

The all-new CX-9 will be offering an indulgent driving experience of quality and comfort. Mazda has worked generously on the car to take it beyond specs and functionality on every front.

The car depicts the symbolic Mazda's KODO soul of motion design which has been carried in its earlier CX-3 and Mazda 5. It features an aggressive front fascia with a pointed snout having the symbolic multiple blades Mazda grille deeply engrossed in the front bumper.

The CX-9 is also added with a lot of evolutionary designs with added premium touches and seating for seven passengers in the three rows of seats meaning a comfortable and well-thought-out cabin space. Apart from which the car features i-ACTIVSENSE advanced safety features and the i-ACTIV AWD all-wheel-drive system.

Mazda's latest seven seated offering is the first model to feature Mazda’s new 2.5-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine, SKYACTIV-G 2.5T.

“Introducing the all-new CX-9 into the midsize SUV segment will strengthen our new-generation line-up, and we expect a big boost and sustained growth in North America,” said Masamichi Kogai, Representative Director, President and CEO of Mazda.

CX-9 is majorly trimmed for the American audience as the company expects 80 percent of global sales forecast at 50,000 units annually in North America itself. The model will be officially launched in North America in spring 201, it is yet to see when it will arrive in Malaysia.
