New Perodua Alza brochure leaked

KUALA LUMPUR: The first look of the 2018 Perodua Alza has been revealed by the leaked brochure showing a fresh seven-seater MPV. The brochure, which has appeared on the internet, shows some fresh replacements in the work and presents more information about the upcoming facelift.

The model which is soon to be launched is said to have three variants, the S (Standard) variant, the SE and the V (Advanced) variant. All of these variants come with the same 1.5-litre four-cylinder dual VVT petrol engine with 102 hp and 136 Nm of torque.

The difference has only made with the S variant, which can be either a four-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual. The SE and the AV have the same as the previous options specified, that is, with just an automatic. The AV and the SE variants have a new look with a slightly different exterior. There are the additions of some front sensors that will aid the driver while parking. No changes have been made to the halogen projector headlamps, which continues to be in the same shape. One of the key changes is the new bumper that features a wider and lower intake that is stretched to the repositioned fog lamps.

With the replacement of the bumper, the grille has also been restyled by removing the lower chrome trim piece. Hence, the two slats now run through the Perodua badge, while a thin black strip is placed between it and bonnet. The tailgate garnish acquires a new design too, with a more prominent chrome piece at its bottom.

There are dual-tone side skirts having a black accent, which fall as a part of an exterior redesigning. The 15-inch wheels come with a titanium finish. However, the S variant has the silver finish. There is also an addition of a new colour in the form of Granite Grey, which joins the previous Electric Blue, Glittering Silver, Ivory White and Mystical Purple.

Moving to the interior, all the variants have been slightly restyled with an updated dashboard that comes with centre air-conditioning vents in a new finishing, redesigned gauges in the instrument console and a Perodua touts that deliver an enhanced cooling for the passengers in the third row.
