Porsche Malaysia celebrates Formula E titles with Motorsport Weekend across 3 cities

KUALA LUMPUR: Porsche Malaysia is giving fans a reason to step away from the screen and get up close with its motorsport heritage, marking the brand’s recent double victory in the 2025 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with a two-day nationwide event.

Fresh from securing both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ titles, Porsche is holding its Motorsport Weekend on 16 and 17 August 2025 at Porsche Centre Ara Damansara, Porsche Centre Penang, and Porsche Centre Johor Bahru.

The celebration will showcase some of the brand’s latest road-going models, each wrapped in iconic race liveries that have left their mark on Porsche’s history.

Salzburg — A Classic in Red and White

One of Porsche’s most recognisable race paint schemes, the red and white Salzburg livery, first appeared on the Porsche 917 KH that clinched the company’s first-ever overall win at the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans. That triumph cemented Porsche’s reputation in endurance racing. Now, more than 50 years later, the all-electric Macan wears the same colours, blending motorsport heritage with the practicality of a daily-driven performance SUV.

Electric Inspiration from the 99X

The Porsche 99X Electric, which helped the team secure its latest Formula E titles, brings its striking purple and green livery to the spotlight — a design inspired by the Taycan Turbo GT’s Purple Sky Metallic and Shade Green Metallic finishes. The link between the two goes deeper than colour: both share Porsche’s advanced 800-volt electric architecture, bringing track-developed tech into road-going EVs.

Roughroads — Dakar DNA in an SUV

The rugged ‘Roughroads’ livery, famous for its white, red, gold, and blue stripes, pays tribute to Porsche’s Paris–Dakar Rally-winning machines. It’s now been reimagined on the Cayenne, reinforcing its role as an SUV equally at home on highways or challenging terrain.

Special offers for the weekend

To sweeten the deal, Porsche Malaysia is offering one year of free insurance for bookings of the Taycan, Macan, or Cayenne made during the event. Visitors can also get up to 40% off selected Porsche Lifestyle merchandise over the two days.
