Say hello to the Rolls Royce Black Badge family decked up in Neon shades
KUALA LUMPUR: Rolls Royce Black Badge family does not mean the models in black rather it represents the brand’s sportier range featuring more performance along with blacked-out trims and details. And when it comes to colour, the automaker already offers a number of different options for these models. This preconceived notion is further refuted by a newly introduced super-solid colour palette - ‘Neon Nights trilogy’.
For this, the automaker took inspiration from the natural world, including plants and animals resulting in three different shades - Lime Rock Green, Eagle Rock Red, and Mirabeau Blue. These newly developed bespoke paints are applied to the Black Badge variants of Wraith, Dawn, and Cullinan, respectively.

Talking about the Wraith Black Badge, the luxury coupe gets the Lime Rock Green finishing on the exterior. And for contrast, the cabin dons Scivaro Grey leather trim with Lime Rock Green accents, including stitching and piping. For this, the bespoke paint specialist Sami Coultas looked at the Australian green tree frog, which he first encountered on a trip to Tamworth, north of Sydney.

Coming to the Rolls Royce Dawn, the Black Badge model of this luxurious convertible wears Eagle Rock Red colour that mimics the flowers of ‘Ōhi‘a lehua, an evergreen tree native to Hawaii. Inside, it gets Selby Grey leather finishings with Koi Red stitching and piping details.

As for the Cullinan SUV, the bespoke paint specialists chose a Mirabeau Blue finishing on the outside and Arctic White leather trimming on the inside, along with Lime Rock Green accents for dramatic contrast. This neon shade is inspired by the Rhetus periander, an exotic butterfly, found across Central and South America; its vibrant wings are faithfully captured in Cullinan’s blue finishings.

All three models embellish the Technical Fibre fascia with a spectacular graphic. The paint effect lends an intense neon glow and shows the artificial light distortion with speed.
This eye-catchy collection was initially created for US clients only, but now the automaker decided to offer three more versions of each color via commission worldwide, making this a limited range of just four of each colour.
