Sime Darby Motors opens Centralised Body & Paint Centre in Penang

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Motors which retails a wide range of brands in Malaysia including BMW, MINI, Motorrad, BYD, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, and Hyundai, has now come forward with its first Centralised Body & Paint Centre in Penang.

    • The outlet is built with an investment of RM 3 million and spans across an area of approx 20,000 sq ft.
    • It is well-equipped with all the latest technology and provides a comprehensive range of services
    • A total of four mechanical bays are there, including one heavy-duty bay (for body repairs), one dry-sanding bay, one preparation bay, and one spray booth
    • The centre can service and repair up to 80 units of the vehicle per month

    “With this new facility, workflow for repairs and restoration works will be streamlined for all Sime Darby Motors’ brands while ensuring performed services adhere to the brands’ discerning quality standards. The new workflow will also accelerate repairs and restoration works, thereby reducing downtime for our customers,” said Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Macau.

    “Customers can be assured of good quality service for all their repair and restoration needs. Services will range from providing basic service repair work, accident repairs and paint work, to preparing the necessary documents needed for insurance claims.”

    “We have well-trained specialists who will ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed according to set guidelines from the principals of the various brands under our umbrella. Hence, our customers will be able to have peace of mind knowing that their vehicles are well cared for.” added Jeffrey.

    Interested folks who want to send their cars for repairs and paint restoration work at the new centre can contact their respective service centres. The respective After Sales Service team of the service centre will take care of sending the vehicles to the Centralised Body & Paint Centre.
