This is the Ram-based luxurious limo, 2022 Aznom Palladium

KUALA LUMPUR: The luxurious limousine you see above goes by the name Aznom Palladium, and it sits on the bones of the Ram 1500 Limited pick-up truck. Limited to just 10 units, the car packs a twin-turbocharged version of the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine, except for one unit with an even potent unit.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Is the new Aznom Palladium a limited edition car?

Yes. The Aznom Palladium is limited to just 10 units.
  • How long does it take to manufacture a single unit of Aznom Palladium?

Each Palladium unit takes eight months to build, which is one of the reasons for its limited supply.
  • As per Aznom CEO Marcello Meregalli, each Palladium unit takes eight months to build, which is one of the reasons for its limited supply.

So, a UAE buyer was not satisfied with the original powertrain configuration and demanded an ever-powerful unit. Resulting in a larger 6.4-litre V8 mill entering the picture, it was taken from the Ram 1500 TRX.

Coming to the output details, the 5.7-litre V8 unit generates a maximum power of 710 PS and a peak torque of 949 Nm. These figures are enough for the 2600 kg sedan to touch the 100 kmph mark in 4.5 seconds and attain a top speed of 210 kmph.

The one unit limited 6.4-litre V8 engine, on the other hand, propels a maximum output of 862 PS along with a peak torque of 1,050 Nm. The 0-100 kmph sprint time should be near 4 seconds, and the top speed, in this case, goes up to 250 kmph.

The power is sent to the ground via an 8-speed automatic transmission system with short ratio low gears in both options.

Other mechanical inclusions are - an all-wheel-drive system, engine with cylinder deactivation tech, two air-to-water intercoolers, bespoke steel H-beam conrods, forged pistons, rebalanced camshaft, high-performance fuel injectors, bespoke head gasket, uprated bearings, and reinforced nimonic valve springs.

The Palladium gets bespoke shock absorbers that make it sit 30 mm lower and a roll cage that adds to the chassis rigidity. As standard fitment is offered 480 mm vented front rotors, however, the customers can opt for 450 mm carbon-ceramic options with 10-piston calipers; they are the largest kind available.

On the inside, the Palladium is a whole other world loaded with luxury materials and elements. For instance, the car is wrapped in high-end Foglizzo leather, an individually reclining rear seat with a footrest, a chiller with a sliding drinks cabinet, and crystal glasses, to name a few.

Price? The Palladium price starts from US $ 1.5 million (approx. RM 6.38 million) and is one of four highly specialised cars in line with the Aznom Automotive.
